This is a photograph that was taken of a purple Lilac with water in the back. There is also a dock with the boat in the back. This photo was taken at the time of a sunset. I feel this this made the photo a lot better than it would have been if it was not at a sunset. There is texture in this photograph, one example of this is the purple lilac. The point of view in this picture is sightly above the lilac so the camera could take in all of the flower and the water in the background. In this photograph there is foreground and background, the flower is in the foreground and the water, dock, and boat is all in the background. The leading lines in this photograph is the edge of the ground leading a little back. This makes your eye travel from the left to right and from the front to the back. The focus in this photograph is mainly on the flower and the background is mostly blurry and out of focus. The emotion that you may feel when look at this photo may be happy because it reminds you of summer.
This is a photograph that was taken in New Hampshire in the middle of the day. This is a picture of a lake with reflections of the clouds in the water, with mountains in the background. This photograph is a good example of leading lines. In this photograph the clouds reflecting into the water lead your eye to the back of the photo. This photograph does have a foreground and middle ground and a background. Te foreground is the water and sand in the front. The middle ground is the island and the background is the mountains overlooking the lake. If this photo was taken at a different time of day, for example nighttime, the photo would not be the same. The emotion that you may feel when you look at this pictures is joyful, this is because this photo is very bright and is a nice scenery picture.
This is a photograph that was taken in New Hampshire. This photo was taken from on a boat and is a lake with and island. This photo is a little dramatic because of the "storm" clouds in the sky. It darkens the picture and makes it almost the opposite of the previous picture that had the bright sunshine. With a lot of pictures of water you get reflections and in this photo the reflection is from the light from the sky even though there is not much it stills lights up the water. The trouble that I had with taking this photo was that unlike others I was moving and it was tough to stay still for a while. I wanted to use a a higher fstop because I wanted everything in the picture to be in focus and easily seen.
This is a photograph of an iced coffee. When I first showed this picture to others they were not sure what it was but quickly figured out after studying it more closely. This photograph was taken from an aerial view I was completely above and did not want this photo taken from the side view. There is a filter on this photo because it made the photo seem less realistic and more abstract. I like this photo because you can see every detail including the little foam bubbles on the ice. This photo is a good example of texture, the coffee seems very smooth. Another reason why I liked this photo is because it is not a commonly used "model" like scenery. No one usually takes a picture of their coffee and explains the techniques it took to capture all of its value.
This is one of the first photographs I took in Digital Photography. This photo was taken with a macro lens which is a good choice lens for up close and personal objects. So I immediately wanted to take a phot of this when I saw this nail to a drill. Just like the coffee phot nails are not something that you see many people taking photos of. I used a small fstop and wanted to focus only on the nail front and center and have every other part of the photograph be blurry. I feel that this really made the picture. This photograph applies to the rule of thirds in which the nail is right in the center. Also this phot has reflection on the nail of light and things that were happening behind me while I was taking this picture.
This is a photograph of three wind up toys. The only wind up you that is in focus is the clown one. The way I did this was by turning the lens and focusing on the clown and making everything else blurry. Except this was tough and the other wind up toys were not completely out of focus but I would like to count them as if they were. This photograph was taken on a little set we set up by putting white paper on the wall and then having it fall on the table infront. Studio lights were used to take this photo and that is why there are shadows in this photo. The camera that I was using was set for incandescent lights.
